Orange Pomegranate Olive Oil Cake
Orange Olive Oil Cake
- 1 3/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- 1/8 Tsp Nutmeg
- 3 Eggs
- 3/4 Cup Drizzle Me Olive Oil
- 3/4 Cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- Zest from one orange
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
Pomegranite Glaze
- 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 3 1/2 Tbsp Freshly squeezed Pomegranite Juice
- 3 Cups Sifted Powdered Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
Instructions
Sponge Cake
- Preheat Oven to 350F and prepare a 9" Cake pan with Non stick spray and parchment paper.
- On a bowl sift flour,baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg and salt.
- On a separate bowl whisk until combined your sugars, olive oil, eggs, orange juice vanilla and orange zest.
- In two additions add your dry ingredients onto your wet ingredients and whisk until combined.
- Bake for 50-60 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean it will be a beautiful light color.My cake baked at 55 mins.
- Allow cake to cool.
Pomegranite Glaze
- On a bowl whisk together your powdered sugar, orange juice and pomegranite juice until combined well.
- Pour the glaze over your cake and allow to spread. Then go over any spots. Garnich with orange slices and pomegranite seeds and enjoy!
