M&M Cookie Dough Brownies

Hack brownie recipe thats amazing and cookie dough together make this dreamy dessert!

Ingredients

    Cookie Dough
  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter(Room Temp)
  • 1/2 Cup + 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 1/3 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp Half & Half
  • 1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 Cup Mini M&M's
  • 1/4 Cup Mini Semisweet Chocolate Chips

Brownie

  • Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/3 Cup Water
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2/3 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/3 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Ganache

  • 1/2 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/3 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Instructions

    1. Prepare an 8x8 square baking pan with non stick spray and parchment paper long enough on the sides to remove the brownies once baked.
    2. Preheat oven to 350F
    3. Flour does not need to be baked since we are baking all of the cookie dough. If you would like to consume some without baking first bake the flour on a sheet pan on 350F for 5 minutes and allow to cool.
    4. Begin by making the cookie dough by beating the butter and sugars on med-high speed until combined and creamy.
    5. Add sifted flour and mix until combined.
    6. Add the half & half and vanilla and mix until combined.
    7. Add the m&m's and chocolate chips and mix until combined.
    8. Prep 8- 2 Tbsp cookie dough balls and set aside until you prepare the brownie mix.
    9. In a bowl add the brownie mix, oil, water and egg and mix until combined.
    10. On a separate bowl add the chocolate chips and heavy whipping cream that are for the brownies to make a ganache and microwave in 35 second intervals mixing inbetween until they are fully melted and combined it should only take about 3 intervals.
    11. Add the ganache to the brownie mix and mix until combined.
    12. Add the brownie mixture to the prepared pan and mix until combined.
    13. Add the cookie dough balls around the brownie mix. I like to do 6 on each side and 2 in the center.
    14. Bake for 35 minutes or until the center is mostly set just a little jiggly.
    15. Allow the brownies to cool completely.
    16. Make the ganache while the brownies cool this is optional if you would like ganache on the brownies.
    17. Add the heavy whipping cream and chocolate chips to a heat safe bowl and microwave in 15 second intervals mixing inbetween.
    18. It should only take 2-3 intervals and once its melted and silky allow it to cool but not harden takes about 30 minutes to cool you can mix it every 10 minutes or so.
    19. Drizzle ganache on the brownies and add more m&m's on top or enjoy with ice cream!

    TIPS

    1. Refrigerate for up to 5 days taking out the deisred amount and allowing it to thaw before enjoying or microwave and allow to cool.
