Instructions

  1. Heat a Skillet to Med/ High Heat.
  2. Whisk all ingredients from first list on a bowl til well combined.
  3. Depending on the size of your bread you may be able to cut it in either 2 pieces or 3 pieces. I used Brioche and it was not big enough so I made two pretty cuts and cut off part of the sides to get those pretty french toast sticks.
  4. Soak your bread generously but do not over soak.
  5. Sprinkle your brown sugar/ sugar and cinnamon mix on each side of the soaked bread.
  6. Cook on each side until a light brown. You want to toast all 4 sides. But first so your bread is sturdy enough make sure to toast the smaller ends of the bread.

Tips

  1. I always get the very best result on my French toast if I leave my bread at least a couple of hours to stale on my counter. This strategy helps when soaking your bread and the overall result of your French toast. I highly recommend it.
