Donuts

  1. Make Sure all of your wet ingredients are room temperature so they incorporate well.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350F Degrees.
  3. Spray donut pan with Non Stick spray.
  4. In a large bowl sift cake mix, flour, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder and salt.
  5. On a separate bowl, whisk together all your wet ingredients (yes sugar is a wet ingredient) until well combined.
  6. Add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients and whisk until combined. Do not over mix.
  7. Add chocolate chips and mix until combined.
  8. Fill donut holes about 2/3 of the way. Makes 16 donuts.
  9. Bake for 15-17 Mins or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Once baked allow to cool completely.

Cinnamon Glaze
  1. On a bowl add powdered sugar, cinnamon and milk. Mix with a small whisk or spoon until combined.
  2. I reccomend to refrigerate donuts for 1-2 hrs before glazing unless you are going to swirl the glaze and not dipping.
  3. If you are dipping your donuts to ice refrigerate donuts for 1-2 hrs. They are soft and can break.
  4. You can also add 1-2 more teaspoons of milk if you want to glaze right away the glaze will just be a little runnier but it will still be super delicious and will be easier to glaze.
  5. Tips
    1. Take out some of the moisture of the pumpkin puree by straining them a bit on paper towels.
    2. The donuts can be made a day in advanced and can be frozen or refrigerated just thaw out before glazing.
    3. Donuts will be good for 3-5 days. Keep refrigerated and take out to thaw the desired amount to eat.
