Ingredients

    Cookie Skillet
  • 1 Cup Unsalted Brown Butter
  • 1 1/4 Cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs (Room Temp)
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • 2 2/3 Cups of All Purpose Flour(Spoon & Leveled)
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Tsp All Spice
  • Vanilla Ice Cream

Cinnamon Sugar

  • 1 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • Apple Filling

  • 2 Large Honey Crisp Apples
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 Tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/3 Cup Water
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 2 Tbsp Water (Set aside)
  • 2 Tsp Cornstarch (Set aside)
  • 1/8 Tsp Vanilla
  • Store Bought Caramel
  • Instructions

    Make sure your eggs are room temperature and this dough will come together beautifully!

    1. Begin by cutting butter into cubes. Next, In a heavy saucepan heat butter over Medium heat to begin the browning process. Stir constantly until the butter begins to turn into a golden brown color. It will be foamy and that is ok. Once the butter has reached that beautiful golden brown color remove from the heat and place into a heat safe bowl to cool.
    2. While your butter cools sift your dry ingredients.
    3. Once the butter has cooled Preheat oven to 350F and prepare a 10" skillet with non stick spray.
    4. In a large bowl combine your brown butter and sugars and whisk until combined.
    5. Add eggs and vanilla and whisk until combined.
    6. Add your sifted dry ingredients into the wet mixture and fold until just combined. Do not over mix.
    7. Cookie need to be baked right away the dough does not store well.
    8. Drop the dough evenly on skillet and mix the cinnamon sugar ingredients together. Sprinkle a light coating of cinnamon sugar.
    9. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and steady on the sides and middle.
    10. During the time the cookie bakes make the apple filling.
    11. Peel core and slice two large Honey Crisp apples.
    12. On a pan on Medium heat add the apples, water, sugars, spices and orange juice.
    13. Give it a mix and allow it cook until the apples begin to soften it will be about 10 minutes.
    14. Once the apples have cooked add the 2 tsp of corn starch to the 2 tbsp of and mix until the cornstarch has dissolved.
    15. Add to the caramel apple mixture and mix until combined.
    16. Continue to cook until the apple juices thicken but be careful not to let it burn.
    17. Once it's thickened add vanilla and mix then remove from the heat and add the filling to a heat safe bowl.
    18. Once your cookie is ready place on a cooling rack and allow to cool a bit.
    19. Once the filling has cooled a bit pour the filling on top of the cookie skillet leaving out a bit of the sauce.
    20. Pour caramel over the filling and scoop ice cream to your heart's desire.
    21. Drizzle more caramel and enjoy!

    TIPS

    1. Cookies will look a little undone once taken out they will finish baking in the skillet out of the oven. Allow them to cool mostly completely to set.
