Chocolate Ganache Brownies

There is no such thing as too much chocolate these delicious chocolate ganache brownies are fudgy and with that smooth ganache topping they are perfection!

Ingredients

Double Chocolate Brownies

  • 6 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 4oz Chopped Semisweet Chocolate
  • 3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 Tsp Vanilla
  • 3/4 Cups Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Dutch Processed Cocoa
  • 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt

Chocolate Ganache

  • 1 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 2/3 Cup Heavy Cream
  • Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Prepare an 8x8 pan with non stick spray and parchment paper long enough to stick up from two sides to pull out when finished.
    2. In a large bowl add butter and chopped chocolate. Melt in the microwave in 45 second increments mixing inbetween until fully melted.
    3. Once the chocolate butter mixture is mixed, add sugars, eggs, vegetable oil and vanilla and mix until combined.
    4. Sift your dry ingredients and add them to the mixture. Mix until combined but do not over mix.
    5. Add chocolate chips and mix until combined
    6. Add the brownie batter evenly around the 8x8 pan and add more chocolate chips on top.
    7. Bake for 20-25 minutes. It will be a little jiggly in the center.
    8. Allow to cool completely
    9. Once the brownies are out of the oven make the chocolate ganache. They both need about 2-3 hours to set.
    10. In a heat safe bowl add the chocolate chips and the heavy cream.
    11. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute intervals mixing inbetween.
    12. I did 2 minutes and 35 seconds total since after 2 minutes it is mostly melted but some small lumps.
    13. Mix the ganache well until smooth and shiny and allow sit to cool.
    14. Mix twice after 20 minutes each time then allow to set for 2 hours.
    15. Once the ganache is set remove the brownies from the pan and frost to your preference.
    16. I added Dark chocolate crunchies but thats optional add the topping of your preference or not.
    17. Cut the brownies into 9 pieces and enjoy!
