Chocolate Ganache
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F. Prepare an 8x8 pan with non stick spray and parchment paper long enough to stick up from two sides to pull out when finished.
- In a large bowl add butter and chopped chocolate. Melt in the microwave in 45 second increments mixing inbetween until fully melted.
- Once the chocolate butter mixture is mixed, add sugars, eggs, vegetable oil and vanilla and mix until combined.
- Sift your dry ingredients and add them to the mixture. Mix until combined but do not over mix.
- Add chocolate chips and mix until combined
- Add the brownie batter evenly around the 8x8 pan and add more chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes. It will be a little jiggly in the center.
- Allow to cool completely
- Once the brownies are out of the oven make the chocolate ganache. They both need about 2-3 hours to set.
- In a heat safe bowl add the chocolate chips and the heavy cream.
- Heat in the microwave for 1 minute intervals mixing inbetween.
- I did 2 minutes and 35 seconds total since after 2 minutes it is mostly melted but some small lumps.
- Mix the ganache well until smooth and shiny and allow sit to cool.
- Mix twice after 20 minutes each time then allow to set for 2 hours.
- Once the ganache is set remove the brownies from the pan and frost to your preference.
- I added Dark chocolate crunchies but thats optional add the topping of your preference or not.
- Cut the brownies into 9 pieces and enjoy!
