  • Instructions

    Donuts

    1. Prepare 3- 3” Donut cake pans with nonstick spray. Makes 18 Donuts. Preheat oven to 350’F
    2. In a large bowl sift your DH cake mix, flour, cinnamon and baking powder. In a separate bowl whisk together the buttermilk, brown sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla. Add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients and whisk until combined. Add sprinkles and mix with a rubber spatula until combined.
    3. The batter is a little runny. You can wait about 10 mins and it thickens up a bit but it is still runny. I used a piping bag but you can also fill it with a spoon gently around. Fill the donut holes 2/3 of the way full.
    4. I use a cookie sheet to place under the donut pan to go in the oven since I use a silicone pan. Bake for 15-18 mins or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow donuts to cool completely.
    5. Instructions

      Crumble

      1. In a small bowl combine the cubed butter, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Using a fork blend it together until mostly combined. Then, using your hands press down onto mixture until fully combined. Freeze while your donuts bake. Once your donuts have baked crumble mixture on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper and bake for 5-7 mins. It will all come together. Allow crumble to cool completely. Once cooled add 1 1/2 Tbsp of sprinkles and sprinkle evenly around the crumble. Using a spoon scrape the crumble to separate and bring it to life!

        Cream Cheese Glaze

        1. (Your cream cheese should be room temp.) On a separate bowl add your cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla and half & half . Beat on low speed gradually increasing speed to medium until mixture is combined and smooth. very soft and can break so be as gentle as you can. You can also frost them with a spoon.

          Assembly

          1. Once everything is prepared gently dip the cake donut on the cream cheese glaze. Next, top all around the top with the crumble. Add more sprinkles on top and if you desire using a piping bag or a spoon swirl more cream cheese glaze on top. Allow donuts to set for about 30 mins-1hr.

          2. Tips Make sure all your wet ingredients are room temp so your batter mixes together beautifully! If you only have 2- 6 hole donut pans the batter will sit nicely until the other ones bake and cool for you to be able to bake the rest just give it a gentle mix and fill the pan. Same time same process.
