Pumpkin French Toast

Ingredients

Makes about 16 Slices

  • Your choice of Texas Toast or French Brioche Bread
  • 3/4 Cup Half and Half
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 1/3 Cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 Tsp Ginger Powder
  • 1/8 Tsp Nutmeg
  • Pinch of Cloves
  • Pinch of Salt

On a Separate Bowl Mix Together and set aside

  • 2 Tbsp Brown
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat a Skillet to Med/ High Heat.
  2. Whisk All ingredients from first list on a bowl til well combined.
  3. Soak your bread generously but do not over soak.
  4. Sprinkle your brown sugar/ sugar and cinnamon mix on each side of the soaked bread.
  5. Cook on each side until a light brown.

Tips

  1. I always get the very best result on my French toast if I leave my bread at least a couple of hours to stale on my counter. This strategy helps when soaking your bread and the overall result of your French toast. I highly recommend it.
